Stopped over at this site on our way down to Gibraltar. Small very friendly site. Very clean. Very peaceful atmosphere. The owners Bernie and Jon couldn’t have been more helpful and we even got a welcome drink on arrival. We will be back on our way home.

Camping le Paradis is a lovely little campsite in France between Limoges and Angouleme, just off the N141.

Owned by a very friendly English couple, Bernie and Jon, Camping Le Paradis is open all year round, this site is handy for a stopover to and from the South, there is lots to explore in the area.

The owners greet you with a beer or a glass of wine, they have a secure field for dogs to run in and the owners are happy to book appts with the local vet.

This is our 5th visit to Le Paradis and it feels like coming home. Highly recommended.

Müde, vom Reisen quer durch Frankreich, haben wir den nächsten Campingplatz angesteuert und landeten im "Paradis".
Wir wurden so freundlich und unkompliziert von Berni und Jon empfangen, dass wir uns sofort zuhause fühlten.
Hier herrschte himmlische Ruhe und Entspanntheit. Und immer ein liebes Wort.
Zur Krönung gabs nachts dann noch eins der tollen Sommergewitter. Regen, Blitz und Donner, aber kaum Wind. Am nächsten Morgen duftete alles um die Wette. Feuchtes Heu, blühende Bäume und Blumen und dann wärmte und trocknete die Sonne wieder alles.
Für unseren großen Hund gabs nichts interessanteres als die tolle Wiese.
Das wird auf jeden Fall nicht unser letzter Besuch gewesen sein.

Just spent 3 nights in Marieul, it was perfect. Bernie and Jon are so friendly, it’s peaceful, clean and has a happy atmosphere. Will be back.

We thoroughly enjoyed our 5 nights at Jonny & Bernie's delightful site. Free beer on arrival! What more can you ask for? Spotlessly clean bathrooms, better than I've seen in some hotels, complemented the relaxed atmosphere of the site. Central to the area, Limoges and Angoulême are a short drive away. Do visit Oradour memorial village and also try the Velorail for a bit of exercise too. Both hosts are welcoming, friendly and capable of a good chat and a bit banter thrown in too. Gus, their Staffy Terrier, is very friendly and was always pleased to see me. If we're down that way again we'll definitely stay there.

Hi,
Stumbled across this campsite on one of the hottest days in July’26. I had been cycling all day from Civray with full panniers (40kg) absolutely knackered and dehydrated.
Arrived at the campsite and was greeted by the owners Bernie and Johnny, it was indeed like arriving in Paradise, Bernie offered us a complementary cold beer and chatted with us for ages, what a great welcome!
Only stayed for one night, but I will definitely return.

A lovely site on our way to the Dordogne!
Bernie and John are great hosts and very welcoming.
We had a great 2 night stay on a lovely pitch overlooking open countryside.
If you want peace and tranquility on a privately owned site that has great character, this is the place to be.

What a find this place was. Stayed for one night en-route to the west coast but wished we could have stayed longer. Actually, the WiFi is so good I would work from here!
First the welcome we received from Jon, Berni and Gus was second to none. Everyone gets a welcome drink and tour.
Pitches are a good size and cared for with good electric.
Bathroom amenities are clean with hot water.
The quietness of the site is lovely with no road, train or plane noise just bird songs.

Jon, Bernie and especially Gus, thank you for welcome, your efficiency and your kindness, we will be back!

Jon and Berni were a very welcoming couple who made our stay very pleasant.
The site was very organised with well kept spacious pitches.
It was a great location.We were enroute back to England having travelled from Spain.The peace and quiet was much appreciated.
On recommendation by Jon and Bernie we had organised a Vets appointment prior to our stay which went ahead with no problems.
If the opportunity arose again we would definitely stay at Camping Le Paradis.

What a great site! Incredibly well maintained and fantastic individual bathroom facilities. The dog play field was especially loved by our pup Poppy. We were welcomed with a chilled glass of rosé and had the most relaxing time. Thank you Bernie, Jon and of course Gus! Camping Le Paradis is indeed a paradise.
